Hi all, here we are in our last week, it's absolutely amazing! We have had great fun at the schools so far this week, and we felt quite special at Brad's old school, as they provided shade for us while we did our set! We seem to be taking the rain with us wherever we go, but we haven't been rained on in a school set yet. Man it's hot! Looking forward to our last concert, sniff sniff. Dave signing out.

Hi All, here's some pics from the first few days in Hervey Bay, a cute little podium setup at a TAFE campus, and our set at Urangan State High, and the guys in the Rhema studio the other morning! We also got to play live out to air on Rhema FM on Saturday, which was very exciting. Our concert was loud with lots of enthusiastic kids, Jeremy was very happy as the acoustics were awesome! Love Dave.

Please pray for the team as they enter their last week of touring bringing this year's Fusebox tour to a close. They have made life long friends with each other while being on team and they have blessed Rosemary and me all year. I know they have also blessed the people in the centres they have visited. They are a great team of young people in God's ministry working with youth. Paul Whincop

Well it was a long journey from Cunnamulla to Hervey Bay, Sheep and a Emu kept bolting in front of our cars, that's the 1st time that's happened this year. So good to be in my home town Hervey Bay. The first school we got to go into was Hervey Bay High, we took an RE lesson of about 300 kids! played music and got to do testimonies, was so awesome when we had a question panel and the kids came up with heaps of good questions about God and life and evolution vs creation which Brad and Phil pulled out their knowledge on, then heaps of kids came up after class and asked us more questions! So great! Been playing about one school per day. Kelly, Brad, Phil and myself all went into Rhema FM, and went on the brekky program, were playing live to air on Saturday arvo for about an hour, awesome opportunity for us. Look forward to the concert tomorrow night. Signing out Bec

Well for a desert area it was surprisingly wet! Thunderstorms every night and plenty of lightning to go with them! We had a challenging time working with Wayne Dillon and his wife in the 'Rock' cafe, doing some live music for the kids and creating connections with the community. Our concert was incredibly successful, with about 30-40 kids showing up, a lot of them troublemakers in the community and plenty from broken homes etc. Jeremy gave a great message, and all around we felt that our time there was used by God. A few of us had trouble getting used to the bore water (sulfur gas smell), but apart from that it was amazing to see how a community with such little resource looked after us and made us welcome. Wayne was going to do something to the cars so we would have to stay longer we think! Pray for the 'Rock' cafe outreach and the kids that work there. It is a wonderful way to train and disciple young teens from the community. Over and out, Dave.

Dave here. Not long to go now! It's amazing all of us that our year together is nearly over. We had an awesome opportunity to preach the gospel through testimony and Christian worship songs during the lunch hour on Wednesday. God is so good. We have had several more opportunities other than this one to be openly Christian in state schools. The second we finished our lunch set (playing 'One Way', mind you), with about 20-30 young kids either worshipping or moshing or both, we experienced the heaviest cloudburst a lot of us had ever seen. I was so glad we had decided to ditch the outdoor program and play under cover...have a peek at the pics, we ended up finishing the pack in about four inches of water! Off to Cunnamulla today, pray for the program and our involvement there, at the moment anything could happen! Love to all.

Well hello fellow fusebox fans!! We have left the little town of Blayney, traveled approximately 6 hours north to the quaint town of Narrabri. Was warmly welcomed with freddo frogs and starburst jellybeans much to the whole teams delight. We did things just a little different.....we had our concert the 2nd night we were here, along with a sausage sizzle! About 60 in attendance the night rocked out, especially with certain townsfolk weirdo dancing, yes they broke out the moves! We bounced into Narrabri high school today and gave them an entree for tomorrows main meal of .... yes that's right an awesome RE lesson. Well that's all for now and stay tuned for the next episode of Fusebox Rox my Sox!! and don't forget to brush, lol signing out Kelly and Bec

Well after 2 concerts in a row what did we do? We had a 3rd one yay! its the first time we've ever done 3 concerts in one week, which is exciting. Blayney concert was the bomb, crowd went off as did the strobes more than ever in the whole year, yes!!! a few past team members turned up too. Did a combined youth service on Sunday, with about 120 in the concert hall, Beth preached for the 2nd time this year with a powerful message, we were all cheerin when they pulled out gift bags, 2nd time in 2 weeks!! Spent the next few days chilin, still in blayney, then played 2 schools for the 2nd time, got permission to give a gospel message in Orange High, which is totally rare so praise God! Shout out to Nateo! Keep smiling signing out Bec

hey guys.......afta a fairly big day on Thursday, with 2 schools in orange and the concert in Oberon, we had to get up early..ish for another long day in Orange. We were due to play at the state school before heading over to the church for our Orange concert that night!! The night got better as time went on, scoring a t-shirt each, meeting heaps of awesome ppl and having a blast during the actual set!! Brad scored the opportunity to play an absolutely mad drum kit.....which made him fairly happy!!!! The night went off....with the crowd going mental all night long, and having a great time!! Brad spoke again and did an amazing job......"Shock Horror!!" We had our first non-team member to do the walk off, sparing brad the chance to have a go for the first time... and the crowd loved seeing one of their own on the stage!! We also had some unexpected visitors drop in from molong (Yeoval concert week) so it was awesome to see some familiar faces and have a chat with em again!!!! apparently some random person got a hold of our flyers and put them up all around the molong school which was interesting!! All in all we had an awesome time and heaps of fun!!!! 'til next time guys, God Bless!!! Love you, sera

Man we had a cool day! Orange has had the most excited schoolkids we've ever seen. Today we did two schools and then travelled to Oberon for a concert. We only did one school there and they got their very own concert! We were a bit worried about our impact because we were in a hall and found it hard to get the kids in for the lunch program the other day, but we ended up with about 30-40 at the concert from the one school, so that was encouraging! It started raining during the set at the second school, and I think the gear took about as much water as it could stand without blowing up...the covers were out but play wasn't suspended, we just kept going and so did the kids! They were mad. I was confident it was going to be a good set as soon as I saw kids run out of class and come and sit down on the wet grass in the rain (!). Note to self, don't play in the rain. Mate and I could hardly keep hold of our picks, or our fingers on the strings it was SO slippery! Jay, our centre contact, who has been amazing, was videoing the set and said he could see water flying into the air off brad's cymbals...Brad said they needed a wash anyway...much love to all from Dave.

Foster is an unreal place. good beach...good center contact.(We love you Leah!!!) Again, we were able to play at 2 schools and had a good turnout at the concert still and had the night being filmed by an absolute champion -Chris!!! Chris did an amazing job of piecing together a short dvd clip for keepsakes for us which looks amazing!! Was great to see a few familiar faces in the crowd from Taree too, and the infamous Jared of Jairus...on ya fellas!!! Kel did an awesome message, both in coona and foster actually. We had a youth service on sunday night, and got along a number of the crowd from the concert, which was great to see! Monday was another travelling day for us and we got to Blaney in the late arvo. We're really excited about the last part of tour, but we know it's going to be hard. So prayer would be good. thanks. Phil and Brad

so we rock up in Coona right,.....happy as Larry.(no offence larry) We only had a few days there, but we fitted in a fair bit. arrived saturday, had a mini concert at Binnaway on Sunday night, after Brad finally found all of his drum kit.(sorry brad, from Phil, Dave, and Mate) Had a lot of fun that night. We got to play at 2 schools and had a great concert on Tuesday night, with a good response from the crowd. Dave did an awesome job, holding up his playing and singing all night despite being sick the whole time. Oh, and i think my(Phil's) laptop has officially died.:( After a few hours of sleep, we headed off on Wednesday morning for Foster on the coast, and met our amazing billet hosts for the week!! Weblog for Warwick Hey! we arrived in Warwick on a saturday night. Sunday night was the bomb, had a huge candle-lighting prayer session at the baptist church. Did one school per day, school kids were so receptive to us as were the flies. One highlight was the chapel service we did at Scots, lets just say the kids jumped out of the pews and started a mosh in front of the stage and down the aisles! rock out! Concert was at the town hall. Well security was tight and had our earliest arrival of guests one hour before the show! whoa! The carpeted floor got a workout, crowd totally went off! Announcement! fusebox has found Australias biggest belcher Ben, think of the biggest burp you've ever done and triple it, that was the coke burp on friday night. Saturday departed for Coonabarabran sad to leave but had a mad week. God loves you all......and so do we. Bec and Sarah

Hi all! Lots of new pics for you to look at. After we had done our week at Port Stephens it was back to the Gold Coast for a week, which meant we could catch up with some friends and families from the start of the year at training camp. Our week was very encouraging, Sarah arranged for us to get into a couple of schools which were first timers for this type of ministry. We were very well recieved, so that paves the way for future mission! Praise God! Our friday concert was a bit different to usual as we played in support of the youth and young adults program at generation church. It was lots of fun, very relaxed and we built some good relationship with the generation churchers, they want us to come back! It was fantastic to catch up with Paul and Rosie again as well, they gave us heaps of good input and encouragement while they were there, and gave the girls some incredible desserts too, apparently! I made them run alongside the car for a few days anyway, just in case... Over and out from Dave.

Well we finally farewelled Charters Towers and what a hard farewell it was!! Made our journey to Ayr then Rockhampton, then had a few hours in Hervey Bay to stop off. It was great for Beth and I to chill with fellow bayans (and for Brad fellow Maryboroughans!!) After that we made it to Gold Coast. One day passed and we trekked 15hrs to Wellington in NSW, the whole team stayed at a Christian camp, what a great place!! Walked out of the front door to mountainous views. Played some schools, had more opportunities in doing RE classes. Next adventure was a 7hrs trip to Port Stephens, an awesome beach town. Once again we played some schools, led 7 RE classes which were the best! Concert was crazy as! Back on Gold Coast this week, should be good, catch ya's later Bec.

We've spent a few days at Ridgecrest, a Christian campsite near Burrendong Dam. It has been a place of great peace, and we have really enjoyed the beauty of our surroundings and the fact that the team has been staying together in the one place. Our concert in Yeoval was an amazing success considering the size of the towns involved, and the distances people had to travel, and a few other circumstances that meant most of the kids didn't even get to see us play in the lunch program! God is good, and we all had an awesome amount of fun and blessing at this concert. It was especially good considering that we hadn't been able to play a main concert for three weeks due to the situation with the vehicles. Most of us agreed afterwards that the Yeoval concert was the best one musically that we had ever done, which is amazing! Brad gave a challenging message that resulted in a number of young people requiring counseling and wanted to talk about issues that they were struggling with. We're moving on to Port Stephens tomorrow, looking forward to another great week of ministry. Dave over and out.

Some Pics from Charters Towers Well we're still in Charters Towers. This is our 3rd week here. We received one of the team vehicles back yesterday so praise God! However we've been getting around with useage of the church van, and some of the team including me have grown attached so the swap over was a bit sad really, Had some 1sts for the team, we played at one of the high schools twice, and got to share our faith openly!! Been running around at the tent crusade here all last week. Let me tell you about the disco... we went and set up all our gear at a local primary school got to bust some moves with the kids and play some songs, easily one of the best concert nights all year, plenty more opportunities coming, good thing because we're stuck here!! LOL!!!!! Signing off Bec. Part two: We're now at the end of our fourth week here in Charters. God has been doing some great work amongst the community here and also in the hearts of the team. After incredibly extended negotiations and false starts and wrong parts, we now are picking up our second car (the one that crashed in Ayr) tomorrow and getting on with the tour! Praise God! We've had some incredible opportunities and have been very blessed to minister here for so long. A lot of the credit for our effectiveness here goes to Shane, our centre contact, who has been the most amazing support and help to us while we've been here. Much love goes out to him, and to the church community who have blessed us with food and accommodation for our incredibly long stay. We also got the opportunity while here to do some odd jobs and painting in the YAC shack where us guys have been staying, and installing a wireless security system! Dave signing off.. on the road again.

Hi this is Mate, Sera and Beth, Half of us arrived from Bowen on Monday, and the other half on Tuesday. Big shout goes out to our billets in bowen who put up with some of us for an extra night!! We hung out at 'the YAC Shack' on Tuesday with the youth of Christian Family. Lotsa fun for all. Dave's crazy plan for spontaneous RE left us a little lost and confused... but the kids were none the wiser and had a great time. Bec's lighting skills went through the roof!! And Brad somehow managed to lose his phone on Thursday also so if you tried to call him and couldn't get through then you now know why!!!!!!! Friday's school was... colourful. The senior boys dressed up in slightly disturbing female clothing whilst doing the macarina to 'Welcome to my life' all in aid of raising money for graduation. We got lots of laughs out of it... unfortunately leaving Phil scarred for life. Concert was rockin... we all had different height raised platforms as the stage... with Brad as the centre piece (leaving Brad very satisfied..finally) The venue was the coolest, we had pool tables and video games and cafe etc in one room and filmed the concert from the other room and had it on the big screen. Our ideas man, Shane came up with that one! The guys prepared to leave for Clermont on Saturday while the girls remained behind till Sunday!! Saturday night we went to a youth night only to find out that the guys didn't quite make it to Clermont that day!! As it turns out, our only remaining car broke down half way there and the guys were stuck in a non-reception area all afternoon waiting on a tow-truck!!!! We had a last minute chapel service on Sunday afternoon and then got the privilege of seeing the youth in action when they played for us at the New Hope Tent that night! God was obviously in the building as we had many people respond to the message that Michelle (one of the girls in the youth group here) gave!!! All in all the night was awesome!!!! These guys have got it goin' on! We don't know what is gonna happen with the cars yet so we are stranded in Charters Towers for another few days!! It's slightly unfortunate for some of the towns that we won't get to visit but we get to hang with the youth here for a while longer!! That's all from us this time round... luv you guys heaps, Mate, Sera and Beth!!

Bowen. What a town. What a place. What a lifestyle. We made our pilgrimage there on Monday and proceeded to run amuck on the beautiful fantastic horseshoe bay (there is also another horseshoe bay in South West Rocks NSW, just so you know). Rock climbing was quite pleasant, as well as the long endurance hike to the lookout. Schools were also there it wasn't just one big holiday! Did two primary schools and just the one high school, big cheer for the mosh factor at the high school, it rates at least as a 7.8.....hmmmmm. Concert was awesome, crowd rocked out with some hi-5s from the audience. Brad gave the message and was the best he's ever done!! YAY! Go Brad!!(by the way Brad didn't write this bit! Ha Ha) All round a great week. Signing off Bec and Brad.

Ello fellow tour folk, This is Beth and Sera calling in for Ayr (finally). Firstly, we would just like to announce that Dave washed his hair on Tuesday!!! Big golf claps go out to him for this great effort. Ayr was a barrel of laughs all round. Unfortunately we had a few crazy conundrums along the way, including our venue had to be changed. The youth were all really understanding however, and we still had a great turn out for the concert.. AND a disco ball! Happy happy. One of our cars had a bit...ok a LOT of an accident. It's still in a repair shop back in Ayr... poor kid. Lots of prayer would be very much appreciated as we are having issues with regard to getting a part or a hire car. As a result of only having one car atm, our itinerary may undergo a few last minute changes. Mate had his first shot at preaching and did the acoustic set. Good on ya mate! Bec and Kel and Jez went on a happy frolic up to Townsville and got a little too excited in the area of coffee beans... It's all a bit blurry really. OH OH!!! My billets lived right next to a drive in movie theatre! OH the excitement! Sez, Dave, Jez, Sian and I all sat under the stars and soaked in the movie goodness. The stars were more interesting than the movie, however. Sunday was family fun-day at the centre contact's church, which was fun (especially the tug-of-war). More soon, this is Beth and Sera saying sayonara.

Our week in Mackay turned out to be quite interesting as we were short a car and so we had to do some improvising. Never the less we made it out to Sarina State High, which is about 30 minutes out and the students, well, they were just great. I'm really quite confused actually because Mate keeps winning the Coke burps, the girls started out good but i just don't know what happened??? Playing at the other schools was interesting but because we were in my home town, playing at my old school Mirani State High was the BEST!!! When i graduated last year i thought that would be the last of my public speeches there but funnily enough the new principal was all too keen to have me speak on parade before the lunchtime program, he-he, lots of love goes out to Mirani State High School. Friday night saw our concert, numbers were down but we had lots of fun all the same. Funnily enough Friday also saw my 21st b'day, having the special 21 on tour was quite odd but the team made it quite special by making me a cake in the shape of a VW beetle... we all know how crrraaazzzy i am about VW Beetles!!!! It was 3D too with blue icing, what a talented bunch of cookies!! That day i also received bacon and eggs, and b'day cake for breakfast, so i can't complain. Well a big thanks goes out to everyone who supported us in Mackay. As for the rest of you, we would like to wish you the best with the latest endeavours, your in our thoughts. God bless. We made it to AYR!! We had a great week in Blackwater, and had lots of time to plan our own fun. All the guys decided to go mountain climbing again and that was great fun, including a swim under a waterfall where the water seemed to be about 3 degrees... We had a really busy weekend - there seemed to be more music to play and gear to set up then ever before.. Anyway - most of us got to sleep for a lot of the car trip yesterday (10 Hours!!!!) so that was a bit of a way to recover from the weekend. We're doing about a school a day this week, and everyone's really looking forward to it again. Catchas again later with more news..

Greetings to all from Fusebox! We have left Maryborough, Brads home town, the next day was our early trip to Rockhampton, a bit of a shock to some as the weather was quite summerish and we'd all acclimatised to the Victorian cold. Anyway it was good to enter another town with more opportunities. We played three schools all with varied response, our introduction to the "best mosher" competition has really taken off and sent the kids even more crazy in the mosh pit, which is always good. Friday night concert went absolutely awesome, the kids enjoyed themselves as usual and then Dave gave the message and we all watched as 3/4 of the audience walked out for counselling. A lot of kids committed their lives to God, I had 5 girls in my counselling group and they all told me they wanted to commit their lives to Christ. We did one night service on Sunday for church and then we set off to remote Blackwater. Well that's all for now! From Bec. Some pics of Rockhampton!

Tenterfield Log (photos go with this one): Setting off fire alarms with our smoke machines seems to be our thing. Fortunately Tenterfield doesn't have a fast-response automatic phone call thingy, just automatic fire exhaust chutes built into the roof. I was playing away trying to ignore the alarm that you could just hear over the music, and suddenly noticed that I could see the stars right through the holes. About 50-60 kids turned up from the one school that we did in Tenterfield, and Brad gave an awesome talk. We all had a huge amount of fun at this concert! It was good to get rested up recovering from Albury, and everyone's looking forward to the break for a week. Transmission ends from Dave. ******************************************** Albury Log: Albury was an absolute blast, and very tiring. We had a fantastic two weeks in Albury, working one week with our usual program in all of the Christian schools around the pace, then spending the second week hooking up with Auslife, a National YFC ministry working in schools helping kids with life skills. It worked really well, with the two teams working together without any problems at all. We got a heap out of the week, both from being involved in the full-day program of Auslife up close and personal with the kids, and also from the actual content of the program. It was great doing something different for a week, varying the program was refreshing for all of the team. It was also challenging fitting in the setup and performance of our usual lunchtime set. We had a huge concert, the biggest so far with about 310 kids turning up. We also managed to set off the fire alarm with the smoke machines. So we've had the police and the fire brigade called to the same concert, all we need now is the ambulance and the SES perhaps. Transmission ends from Dave.

This one is for Saturday 11/6: Last night was our concert at Ballarat and it was held at the Grainery Lane Theatre. It was quite the opposite of what we imagined it to be, not quite your typical theatre but all the same, we had a great time... and so did our attendees!! Courtesy of our Ballarat centre contacts, we decorated our stage with a banner displaying our band name in black, white and yellow. This is the second banner we have received, so a big thankyou goes out to Ballarat and Goulbourn, who also donated us a colourful banner!! The concert rocked but there was one minor hazardous issue, which was the stage, c'ause if we had of jumped on it anymore we would've fell through the floor!! Praise the Lord we didn't!! Rise and shine early this morning because not only were we having breakfast with Paul at the Pancake Place but some of us were also headin' to Melbourne for a day trip!! Some of us went for the 'Traditional', others went for the 'Country' breakfast but nooooo Sarah had to be different and took it Jamaican style.... two thick chocolate pancakes, with choc topping, ice-cream, cream, sprinkles, etc.... one spoonful was enough to make me sick!! How she ever got through it I don't know, oh, that's right she didn't.... Jeremy was tempted with the leftovers!! Anyways... the picture below is of us outside 'The Pancake Kitchen', enjoy!! p.s Just so you can keep your minds at rest, no-one was sick on the way to Melbourne but I definitely didn't feel that well afterwards.... kinda reminded me of the time I ate 16 slices of pizza during training camp! Never again!! Don't regret it though... these are the moments that I'll never forget!! lol, God Bless, Kelly This one is for just this week, we'll call it Wed 15/6: Hey there 'Fusebox' fans!! We've been in Albury for three days now and performed at three schools so far. This morning we visited St John's Primary, which was most exciting.... we got to hang out with all the little kids!! They went off, jumping around, giggling, doing air guitar.... those kids are my inspiration:-) Sometimes when I feel I'm just too tired to mosh I always end up moshin' anyway cause watching those kids just makes me want to join in with the fun! Good way to keep fit while on tour too, providing we don't make too many trips to Hungry Jack's!! Then in the arvo we visited Border Christian College, which was also amazing fun. Surprisingly though we don't have our concert this Friday but instead it's next Saturday cause we're spending 2 weeks in Albury/Wodonga. That means this Friday night we'll be lookin' for something to do, however, it is Brad's 18th b'day that day so don't forget to send him lots of b'day wishes on Friday.... sshhhh!! Don't tell him I told you!! lol, singing off, Kelly-Jane :-)

Thursday, 9 June 2005 Hi to all from Ballarat! Much fun this week so far. We've been doing our thing in the schools again, and we've had some of the best responses ever! Yesterday we nearly had a library shelf catastrophe... all the jumping in an indoor venue nearly had a domino effect with falling books. Today we had an even more enthusiastic crowd at Damascus College. Right from the start it was amazing to see how involved they were. Another good bit of fun today was during our second song in the school set - the snare skin split in half! Amazingly enough, it held for the rest of the set. A quick changeover between schools though, and we were right to go again! Having a great time, and can't wait till the concert tomorrow night!
