Youth for Christ is an interdenominational
specialist youth organisation, not tied to one particular church but supporting
local churches through its many and varied programs. It has a global vision and
is committed to the mission of youth evangelism, discipleship, social involvement and
leadership development.
Our Calling
We affirm that there is no higher calling
in our mission than to be a volunteer worker proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and relating a
Christian lifestyle to a group of young people.
Our Structure
Gold Coast Youth for Christ Association Inc. is an independent
Youth for Christ program operating from the Gold Coast. The
Youth for Christ program on the Gold Coast was started by
the National YFC office as a branch office of the National
Office. This branch arrangement ceased in 2000 and the Gold
Coast Youth for Christ Association was formed and incorporated
to continue the work that was pioneered by the National program.
There are other YFC programs in Australia that are not a branch
of the National office and are controlled by a local board.
The Gold Coast Youth for Christ Association Inc. board has many and varied
responsibilities such as
- Setting policy
- Leading the work
- Providing necessary services for the ministry to function
- Ensuring the agreed policies, procedures & standing orders of Gold
Coast YFCA Inc. are carried out
Gold Coast Youth for Christ
Association Inc. has a board of reference which is a part of the accountability
structure. We have five members on our
board of reference that are fine Godly men who are currently involved in full
time ministry and are well recognised leadership figures in today’s Christian
society.
The largest arm
of the ministry with direct contact to youth is our Touring

We
thank God for fantastic results we have seen over the years
of the Holy Spirit working through these YFC ministry teams
and even though we have seen the wonderful results of young
people committing their lives to Christ, sometimes results
aren’t seen by us as this is primarily a seed planting ministry.
Many thousands of young people have heard the Gospel of Jesus
Christ and we trust that those that have not yet responded
will one day turn to Christ as the answer to their needs and
for fulfilment in their life.
